this is the inside space of where both artist come together for a studio. it is based on a circular room attached to a rectangular room much similar to the above ground structure. the circular room represents staring and the work of Ron Mueck are present so the person will feel uncomfortable and feel squeezed in. the rectangular room is more free and has "sun spots" holes in the roof so son can go in that represent the grafifiti drops of spray pain. inside the room it is a brick wall because, what better way is there to present graffiti besides a traditional brick wall?

this is inside the below ground structure, the word for this is staring. when you go through the tunnel like walkway i was thinking of how people stare at you and the feeling you get is awkwardness and feels like your being closed in. when we come down to the main areas we see 2 glass spiral staircases. i used these staircases because the person inside is able to stare at anything with freedom and also because the stairs are glass a person outside can stare at them as well so it works both ways... also the the cool thing about the stairs is when your on the top there is no exit, this is due to the helpless feeling you get when you are in a situation when you literally "stop and stare" at the works of Ron Mueck.

this is the upper level of the model, the word for this is embracing. the arch you see are meant to represent fingers, much like the hands of Mr. Burns from simpsons when he says "excellent.

Stair sketchup

 word: embracing
the stairs here revolve around the idea of what embracing is. embracing in my opinion is something that is optimized where there is a journey apart from your embracer, say your parents, they will embrace you more when there was a time spent separated. as you can see from the stairs represents the journey of peak embrace, it starts off a journey together and then separates into 2 and 3 staircases which is the stair of separation and ultimately at the top of the stairs it comes together as one which in my opinion is a perfect example of embracing stairs. the design of the stair may seem common but i concentrated more on the motion and the thoughts that comes to mind when walking up the stairs and the feeling you receive when you are reunited with your partner.

 word: graffiti
this is a simple design. the inspiration comes from graffiti itself. graffiti generally is commonly based on spray cans, this design represents spraying the paint on a wall and the excess paint that is made dribbles down the wall.
I did not do this model just the inspiration of the stairs below, in case you were wondering what it was

word: fish
it was hard, designing this stairs... i thought to myself what represents a fish the best? and i thought of water but then it will be hard to swim. then i thought about the streamline of a fish how easily is glides through the water and thought of a water slide which in my opinion generates the journey of a fish the best. the design is circular because of the fishes memory how they can always spin around the same glass bowl everyday because their memory is so short i did not make the slide very steep because i wanted the participant of the water slide enjoy the paintings and the space below so it will be a slow, relaxing and somewhat a fun journey down.

word: staring
these are the staring staircases. the white one you see behind the translucent one is a random set of blocks and curves that causes one to stare at them because of the randomness. it was quite hard thinking of something that people will just stare at especially the design and i thought a random set of stares in a circular room would cause a person to do so. the translucent one at the front is a spiral staircase completely made of glass it has a entrance at the bottom and no exit at the top, this is because when looking at the work of art of Ron Mueck the person in side the staircase will be helpless but stare at the work. i thought of this because there are literal situations when we just "stop and stare" at a situation of something Ron Muecks sculpture will captivate this experience more.

Above is the Cocoon building based in Shinjuku, Japan. Designed by Tange associates, this tower symbolises a building that nurtures the students inside thus being called a "cocoon" also the exterior of the building which is comprised of white aluminum and blue glass also contributes to the name.

This is a photo of my new cousin from Korea, i consider it beautiful because it is literally new life. This picture in particular is presents this notion well, as there is also the mothers hands feeding the newborn.
